Samuel A. Hardage is the Chairman of San Diego-based The Hardage Group, (THG), which currently owns and operates hotels in multiple states.

Sam has been actively involved in the real estate industry for over three decades, during which time he has completed 74 major projects in sixteen states. THG is a fully integrated real estate development, construction and management company which has successfully developed hotels, high-rise office buildings, condos, apartments and warehouses.

Hardage is an active supporter of a number of professional associations and civic organizations. He presently serves as the Founding Chairman of the Board of the Vision of Children Foundation. He was a Founding Board Member of the Village Christian Foundation and served on the Board of The David Horowitz Freedom Center. He is a past Board Member of Sonoma Cutrer Vineyards and is a partner in Emeritus vineyards. Hardage is a current Board Member of Nanovision Biosciences, Inc.

Hardage’s business acumen has been recognized with listings in multiple industry publications. He currently serves on the CEO Council of the American Hotel and Lodging Association. Hardage was named recipient of the 1996 San Diego Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Sam and his wife, Vivian, were awarded the Channel 10 Leadership Award for their work as founders of The Vision of Children Foundation, which benefits children with genetic eye diseases. The Hardage’s were recognized for the Foundation’s significant worldwide research efforts. In 2008, Hardage was selected as the Father of the Year by the American Diabetes Association.

In 2001, Hardage was inducted into the Colorado Springs Sports Hall of Fame as a former end for the Air Force Academy football team. In 2014, he was inducted into the United States Air Force Academy Sports Hall of Fame.

Sam earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Science from the United States Air Force Academy, and served as a Captain and aircraft commander for Military Airlift Command on worldwide missions, including Vietnam. He earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from The Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.

Hardage and his wife, Vivian, reside in Rancho Santa Fe, California. They have four children, Chase, Samantha, Adam and Kate.
